realize the community has been silent for a long time, but is anyone still here & interested?

I live on the VA coast near NC & travel to NC frequently.  Would like input & to share if possible.

Jason and i went down to the coast last week, to the Nags Head area.  out there a ways is Pea island (jason has more info on the where, and i'm sure he'll post it later)....but a few miles down is a totaly secluded parking area, with nothing more for about 10 miles further.  there used to be signs up stating 'beware, nude sunbathers ahead', but they have been taken down in the past months...not that it stopped us!  you've never froliced in the ocean 'till you've done so sans-swimwear.  pity the water was so rough, preventing us from going out further.  one note, bring extra towels.  would have made getting my bathing suit back on way easier...
on the road again
Jul. 10th, 2004 @ 07:58 am A spot near Craggy Gardens
we've found a semi-secluded spot near Craggy Gardens, about 25 miles north of Asheville, NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway. the spot is located on a trail that starts right beside the next overlook on the right going north just after Craggy Pinnacle. the overlook itself is for Greybeard Mountain. anyway, after hiking about 1/4 mile through the very easy trail through the woods, you'll see the forest change to a darker color; these trees are fir evergreens. up ahead just after the treeline changes, you'll see a clearing in the middle of 5 large fir trees. perfect spot for a naked picnic! you can see and hear anyone approaching from either side of the trail very easily, and honestly it's secluded enough (and overshadowed enough by Craggy Pinnacle) that you probably won't have any uninvited guests. just remember to bring a blanket to sit/lay on -- fir needles hurt even worse than pine needles on the bare skin :).

we've got pictures of the spot; i'll post them once we get them developed :). the only bad thing about it is that it's not very open; you've got trees all around you so there's nowhere really to bathe in sunlight. it seems to be very difficult to find a very open secluded area these days...
Jul. 10th, 2004 @ 07:51 am Welcome...
so, i figured i'd go ahead and make the first post.

my wife, amasne, and i decided to create this community in order to see if anyone else out there had any great spots to strip down and enjoy nature au natural. we've found a couple of spots that aren't too bad, but we're pretty certain that someone else out there has something better :).

my wife and i are nudists at heart (we're nekkid all the time when we're at home and don't have visitors :), but while i've had the gumption to "take it all off" in semi-accessible public places, she has not. we're hoping to find somewhere to go that's secluded enough to make both of us comfortable being naked outdoors for a few hours.

so anyway, go ahead... join the community and post away...
